Senior Fire Engineer Job in Birmingham

This is a hands-on role leading complex fire engineering projects from design through to delivery, with strong support towards chartership and long-term progression. Salary £55,000 – £70,000 + hybrid working + bonus + CPD/training support.

Role & Responsibilities
1. Lead and manage fire engineering projects from concept through to completion
2. Develop fire strategies, technical reports, letters, sketches, and supporting calculations
3. Undertake smoke and evacuation modelling, including hand calculations, zone modelling, and CFD simulations
4. Carry out detailed fire dynamics and structural fire assessments
5. Review building designs for compliance and develop fire-engineered solutions as part of the wider design team
6. Work closely with clients, architects, and statutory authorities to agree compliant design outcomes
7. Attend and lead client and design team meetings
