Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated and dynamic Maternity Support Worker to join our friendly & dedicated team. You will be working within the Labour ward (Ward 26 and Ward 24). You will undertake a range of duties in the Maternity setting under the supervision of a Registered Midwife.
Your working week covers a 7 day service, 24 hours, 365 days a year. Shifts are 10 or 12 hours (days and nights) with some weekends and bank holidays. Successful applicants will receive a comprehensive orientation programme and are assured that they will receive appropriate support and training to meet expected competencies.
Maternity support workers (MSWs) are an integral part of the maternity workforce and play an important role in supporting midwives and the wider maternity teams, mothers and their babies through pregnancy, labour and during the postnatal period.
