This is a key leadership position where you will manage and oversee our production and aseptic services, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, and compliant products for our patients. You will lead a talented and dedicated team, working collaboratively to advance our services, drive innovation, and maintain adherence to regulatory standards. We are looking for an inspiring leader with a proven track record in pharmaceutical production and aseptic services. Main duties of the job We also welcome applicants with limited aseptic experience, but possess the managerial and leadership qualities that are integral to the role. NHS Wales is in the process of creating the Transforming Access to Medicines Service (TrAMs) which will be hosted by NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership (NWSSP). The current service provided by ABUHB and this post, may transfer to NWSSP as part of this programme. Key Responsibilities Include Management of the Production/Aseptic services based at the Royal Gwent Hospital, manufacturing pharmaceutical products for patient use across all ABUHB sites. Manage, plan and develop the service, in-line with the operational strategy developed in conjunction with the Head of Pharmacy, Operational Services, delivering service through management and oversight of appropriate professional and technical staff. Communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders, both internal/external to ABUHB, including staff, patients, carers and support groups. Ensuring adherence to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and relevant guidelines. Qualifications And Knowledge Essential criteria Master degree in Pharmacy Member of the GPhC Significant experience in hospital pharmacy at a senior level Leadership and/or managerial qualification/experience Desirable criteria Responsible Person qualification Project Management Experience Essential criteria Leadership role in Pharmacy Aseptics Collaborative working within organisations Managing teams and service delivery Desirable criteria Regulatory standards including GPhC, Home Office, MHRA Skills and Attributes Essential criteria Engage, motivate and influence individuals outside formal area of management responsibility Leadership Analytical reasoning
