Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and assist in additional service tasks when required. This position is perfect for individuals looking to gain experience in the culinary field while contributing to a vibrant hospitality environment.
The role, and hours will vary. Hours will include every weekend and some evening working and weekdays - and will be more in high season and the school holidays.
This role would suit someone looking to start their career in the hospitality sector and could be worked around some college hours, but could suit anyone willing to work hard as a valuable part of a small team.
Responsibilities
* Assist in food preparation tasks.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment..
* Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are adhered to at all times.
* Assist with stock rotation and inventory management to minimise waste.
* Undertake regular cleaning and maintenance tasks, working efficiently without supervision.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
* Make and serve drinks, serve food, answer customer queries.
* Occasional food and drink sales
Experience
* Previous experience in ackitchen is preferred but not essential.
* A willingness to learn and develop skills within a fast-paced environment is essential.
