An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced BMS Engineer to join a global facilities management provider at a high-profile commercial site in Canary Wharf. This is a senior, site-based position where you will have full accountability for the building’s BMS operation and play a vital role in driving system performance and efficiency.
The Position You will act as the site’s BMS specialist, combining hands-on technical expertise with a proactive approach to system optimisation. This role goes beyond reactive maintenance, offering the chance to influence how the site operates by improving reliability, efficiency, and overall system performance.
Key Duties:
Full responsibility for the operation and performance of the site BMS
Planned and reactive maintenance, fault diagnosis, and system enhancements
Analysing BMS data to support energy reduction and performance improvements
Liaising closely with site teams, contractors, and external suppliers
Ensuring all works comply with health & safety and statutory requirements
Managing critical spares and supporting supply chain coordination About You:
Proven experience working with BMS systems, including maintenance and optimisation
Electrical qualifications/background (18th Edition, NVQ, City & Guilds or similar)
Experience within large-scale commercial or critical environments
Proactive and solutions-driven, with the confidence to engage stakeholders
Strong communication skills and a methodical approach to problem-solving Package & Benefits:
Salary of £70,000 – £75,000 depending on experience
25 days annual leave + bank holidays
Static role based at a single Canary Wharf location
