About the Role
As a Continuous Improvement Designate Depot General Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in leading and developing depot teams, ensuring top-tier operational performance across multiple sites. You’ll work closely with Hubs, Field teams, and support functions to meet and exceed key performance indicators.
This flexible role covers multiple depots and includes stepping in for Depot General Managers during holidays or absences. You’ll be empowered to make decisions, resolve challenges, and implement improvement plans with full accountability.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver budget, cost, and service metrics set by the Head of Operations
* Support strategic improvements and business growth initiatives
* Act as the accountable leader for depots in the absence of DGM’s
* Work across various shifts and team structures
* Analyse performance data to drive actionable solutions
* Lead with vision, calmness, and clarity across transport and operations
What We’re Looking For
* Full UK driving licence
* IOSH Qualified
* Strong leadership and decision-making skills
* Ability to assess and improve operational performance
* Agile mindset with a drive to deliver under pressure
* Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
