Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Solar Installer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation of solar energy systems, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment while adhering to project timelines.
Duties
* Install solar panels and associated equipment on residential and commercial properties.
* Utilise hand tools and power tools to complete installations efficiently.
* Conduct site assessments to determine optimal placement of solar systems.
* Perform excavation work as needed for installation purposes.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure all installations meet regulatory standards and client specifications.
* Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the installation process.
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
* Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding installation processes.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in mechanical work, with a strong understanding of electrical systems preferred.
* Familiarity with welding techniques is advantageous.
* Experience operating excavators or similar heavy machinery is beneficial.
* Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to construction and installation tasks.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
