Job Overview
Personal Assistant required for a happy and lively 7-year-old boy who lives in Launceston. He has Autism and he would like someone who he can build up a positive relationship with and provide him with some 1:1 support.
He would like someone to support him with his communication. He loves being outdoors and going for walks and to the park to play. He enjoys swimming, soft play and loves trains. A personal assistant will enable him to enjoy activities in his local community and with his family.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 support and build a positive relationship.
* Assist with communication.
* Support outdoor activities: walks, park play, swimming, soft play, train outings.
* Enable enjoyment of local community activities with family.
Key Requirements
* Some knowledge or personal experience of working with young people with special educational needs (essential).
* Up to 5 hours per week, flexible; some weekend and school holiday availability required.
* Car driver preferred but not essential.
* Willingness to be employed under a private arrangement with the family.
* Must undergo an enhanced DBS check (administration by Cornwall Council).

Compensation
Rate of pay £12.60 per hour.
