Hiring: Senior Accountant – Financial Reporting (LNG Trading)

About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant – Financial Reporting to join a leading energy trading environment, supporting LNG trading operations and financial reporting. This role offers exposure to complex, high-value trading transactions within a global setup.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead month-end close activities ensuring accurate and timely reporting
* Manage financial reporting in line with IFRS standards
* Reconcile Trading P&L with Financial Accounting (MIMA reconciliation)
* Handle accruals, inventory accounting, and cargo-in-transit reporting
* Support preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
* Ensure compliance with lease accounting (IFRS 16), revenue recognition (IFRS 15), and financial instruments (IFRS 9)
* Work closely with product control, settlements, and trading teams
* Maintain strong internal controls and reporting accuracy
Requirements
* Qualified Accountant: Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), ACCA, CIMA, or CPA (USA) from UK OR USA Qualified Only.
* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
* Minimum 10+ years of experience in trading finance / financial reporting
* Strong knowledge of IFRS standards (IFRS 9, 15, 16)
* Experience with SAP and trading systems (CTRM preferred)
* Strong analytical, reporting, and stakeholder management skills
