Job Description:
Head of Clinical Services in Lancashire. Salary: £49,119 - £57,331 per annum DOE. Hours: 36 Hours per week.

Purpose
Responsible for ensuring the quality and standards of care in line with CQC standards and other statutory bodies. Manage care services within the delegated budget, service specifications, and outcome measures.
Key Relationships
* Line management responsibility across all clinical services.
* Support and work alongside volunteers.
* Foster relationships with internal stakeholders: Service Director, Medical Teams, Clinical Quality Team.
* Maintain external relationships with CQC/CI inspectors, ICB Quality Lead, partner organizations, and other experts.
Main Responsibilities
* Manage the budget for care services, ensuring resource efficiency and expenditure control.
* Identify and mitigate risks impacting care, experience, or safety.
* Ensure compliance with Care Standards Act, Environmental Standards, and Health and Safety.
* Lead and demonstrate advanced leadership skills within the multidisciplinary team.
* Deputise for the Service Director as needed, including on-call responsibilities.
* Maintain registration with NMC and adhere to the NMC Code of Conduct.
* Lead the care team to meet quality standards and drive continuous improvement.
* Lead service development, transformation, and implementation of new community services.
* Manage medicines safely and undertake the Accountable Officer role if appropriate.
* Ensure high standards of record keeping and clinical audit activities.
* Incorporate service user feedback into service development.
* Maintain staff engagement, effective rostering, and out-of-hours support.
* Collaborate with other organizational areas like fundraising, marketing, and policy.
* Ensure a safe working environment, confidentiality, and undertake additional tasks as needed.
About You
* Registered Nurse with a master’s degree or equivalent experience.
* Management qualification or equivalent experience.
* Ability to meet CQC/CI Registered Manager requirements.
* Continuous professional development evidence.
* Post-registration healthcare experience with leadership skills.
* Experience in service development and change management.
* Knowledge of current healthcare policies, legislation, and budget management.
* Experience in quality governance, clinical audits, and incident management.
* Research knowledge, data analysis, and reporting skills.
* IT proficiency and flexibility to work outside normal hours and travel.
