Lecturer in Media Location: Access Creative College Bristol, BS1 2LZ Hours: 33.75 hours per week Salary: £22,308-£24,157 per annum Who are we? We are part of Access Education Group which boasts 32 campuses nationwide with over 5,000 students & apprentices across ACC, dBs Institute (Higher Education) & Access Sport About the Role Working with the Pathway Manager for Games and Media, you’ll help deliver and develop our Digital Media curriculum at our Centre in the heart of Bristol city. The Centre has recently been refurbished to be as bright and exciting as the city itself and the place is kitted out from top to bottom with the very best, industry-grade equipment. The successful candidate will be inspirational in their teaching methods, meeting our learners' needs by sharing their knowledge and experience with them, and becoming a role model. The postholder must help our learners to connect their education with their future careers in the industry. The role involves working at the core of the student experience, coordinating resources and managing student activities as well as developing industry links and course marketing. About you You’ll have experience working within the creative media industry, or maybe you’re a recent graduate with a relevant degree. You’ll have knowledge of digital audio/video, digital imaging, graphic design, social networking, media journalism and web design and you’ll be familiar with Adobe Creative Cloud or similar applications. Ideally, you’ll have experience working with young people, either through mentoring, guest lecturing or another education or support-focused role. If you’ve previously worked in further education and maybe even have a teaching qualification, that would be the icing on the cake! For those who aren’t qualified, we’ll fund your teacher training and you’ll gain a qualification that’s transferable throughout the FE sector.
