HR & People Administrator Plymouth Full Time £25,500 to £27,000 per annum Overview of the role as a HR & People Adminis trator: We are looking for a proactive and detail oriented HR & People Administrator to join our team and support the day to day operations of the People function across our group of businesses. This role is ideal for someone who is keen to learn, highly organised, and motivated to support a wide range of HR activities. Working directly with the Head of People, you will gain exposure to all aspects of the employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding through to payroll, pensions, and people projects. This is a fantastic opportunity to build a strong foundation in HR within a growing and fast paced organisation. Key Responsibilities as a HR & People Administrator: Support the preparation of monthly payroll, ensuring accuracy of data and deadlines are met. Assist with pension administration, including updates and queries. Build and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of internal stakeholders across the group, supporting collaboration and trust. Provide recruitment support, including: Screening CVs and applications. Conducting initial candidate screening calls. Coordinating interviews and candidate communication & feedback. Maintain accurate employee records and support with HR system updates. Assist in drafting letters, contracts, and documentation as required. Provide first line support for employee enquiries, escalating where necessary. Support the Head of People with administration for performance management (e.g. PIPs, probation reviews, 1:1 scheduling). Contribute to ad hoc HR projects and initiatives across the group, including engagement, wellbeing, and compliance projects. Support with reporting and data gathering for HR metrics and audits. Be able to build positive and professional relationships with employees, managers, and stakeholders across the business. Have strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Be confident in handling confidential and sensitive information with discretion. Be comfortable managing multiple tasks and prioritising effectively. Be proactive and flexible, with a willingness to support across different areas of HR. Have good IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Ideally have some prior administration experience (though not essential, as full training will be provided).
