Key Responsibilities: Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to students with SEMH needs. Create a calm and consistent learning environment focused on progress and inclusion. Support the personal development and emotional well-being of all pupils. Use a trauma-informed approach to behaviour management and relationship-building. Monitor, assess, and report on student progress, contributing to reviews and EHCPs. Collaborate with colleagues and external agencies to ensure consistent support. Participate in whole-school planning, CPD, and development. Qualifications and Experience: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Experience teaching in SEMH, PRU, or alternative provision is desirable but not essential. A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection. Resilience, creativity, and a calm, patient approach. Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills. A commitment to inclusive education and the belief that every pupil can succeed. Familiarity with trauma-informed practice and de-escalation strategies is advantageous.
