We are seeking a Structural Engineer for a 7‑week contract based in Carryduff, Belfast. This role involves utilizing Tekla Structures to deliver a mix of structural steel and architectural metalwork projects for a leading steelwork contractor. You will lead the design and detailing of structural steel (60%) and architectural metalwork (40%) packages.
Start Date: Mid May
Rate: £250.00 per day
Hours: 39 hours per week (8:30AM – 5:00PM Mon‑Thu | 8:40AM – 4:00PM Fri)
Contract: 7 weeks
Location: Carryduff, Belfast (Office‑based)
Key Responsibilities
* Producing technical designs and calculations for a variety of steel projects.
* Utilizing Tekla Structures for 3D modeling and drawing production.
* Ensuring all designs comply with relevant Eurocodes and British Standards.
* Collaborating with the detailing and production teams to resolve technical hurdles.
* Managing project timelines to ensure delivery within the 7‑week contract window.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Structural Engineer within the steelwork sector.
* High level of proficiency in Tekla Structures.
* Strong background in both structural steel and architectural metalwork.
