Pastoral Support Officer (Care Experienced)
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Student Support and Foundation Learning Department as a Pastoral Support Officer (Care Experienced) on a permanent, full-time (35 hours per week) term-time only basis (over 38 weeks).
You will be required to travel; this role will be across 3 campuses (Wythenshawe, City Campus Manchester, and Openshaw).
As a Pastoral Support Officer, you will provide dedicated support to care‑experienced young people, working under the Head of Inclusion Preventative Education and Cohesion, and guidance of the Designated Teachers. Your focus will be on removing barriers to learning faced by care‑experienced students and promoting their educational development, enabling them to achieve positive outcomes.
You will respond swiftly to ‘at risk’ indicators by setting clear, targeted goals in collaboration with students and relevant agencies. You will work closely alongside internal college teams and external agencies to coordinate timely interventions and sustained support.
