Building Services Engineer

The Building Services Engineer will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team which consists of Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Building Services, Electrical and Piping Engineers.
The team is responsible for the authorship, development, assessment, and maintenance of Engineering Design Substantiation for the Facility, ensuring Design Intent, Critical Safety Factors and Safety and Operational Requirements are met and are consistent with current good practice and legislative/regulatory requirements.
What Do We Need
1. Building services design experience of the HVAC discipline and supporting systems (LTHW, Fire Dampers etc).
2. The ability to illustrate and analysis Psychrometric properties of air to demonstrate the psychrometric process of HVAC design and its impact on the internal environment.
3. Knowledge of key legislation and standards applicable to the built environment and building services design.
4. Familiarity with recognised industry technical guidance such as CIBSE guides and ASHRAE standards.
5. Experience of producing written technical reports (preferably for the design substantiation of engineered safety measures within a high hazard industry).
6. Experience of authoring and producing robust technical justification and supporting documentation to allow for relevant design modifications to be authorised within a high hazard industry.
7. Experience working on multi-discipline projects providing engineering input (ideally within industrial and/or maritime).
Location
The role is Hybrid where 3 days per week will be spent either in the office in Glasgow City Centre or at the site in Helensburgh.
