The Role:
Relief Security Officer
As a Relief Security Officer, you'll play a key role in safeguarding people, property and assets at one of our well-established client sites in Wokingham. You'll represent Mitie on the front line – ensuring a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for everyone.
This is a perfect opportunity for an experienced, motivated and adaptable security professional who enjoys variety and wants to grow in the ever-evolving security industry.
What You'll Be Doing:
1. Provide a visible, professional security presence to deter incidents and enhance safety.
2. Conduct regular patrols, access control and incident response in accordance with Assignment Instructions.
3. Maintain detailed reports and incident logs with accuracy and professionalism.
4. Comply with all security, safety and legal requirements at all times.
5. Work effectively with site teams, clients and colleagues to deliver service excellence.
6. Participate in training and upskilling to develop your career within Mitie.
What We're Looking For:
7. Experience: Proven background in the security industry.
8. Licensing: A valid SIA licence (Security Guarding or Door Supervision). CCTV licence desirable – training provided for the right candidate.
9. Background: Fully checkable 5-year work/residence history within the UK.
10. Skills: Strong communication, attention to detail, and the confidence to make sound decisions.
11. Professionalism: Calm under pressure, dependable and self-motivated.
12. Flexibility: Willing to work various shifts including days, nights, weekends and Bank Holidays.
13. Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using IT systems, phones, and email.
14. Driving licence & own vehicle: Desirable but not essential.
