Job Overview:
I'm seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Payroll Manager to join a forever growing giant, on an interim basis. Someone who has experience of end-to-end payroll is ideal for the role, due to being the sole payroll manager for a newly purchased organisation, who is joining the overall group.
The Payroll Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations. This position requires strong analytical skills, knowledge of payroll systems, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties:
- Process payroll for all employees accurately and on time
- Review and verify timekeeping records for accuracy
- Calculate wages, deductions, and benefits
- Prepare and distribute paychecks or direct deposits
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
- Maintain accurate employee records and payroll data
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters
- Collaborate with HR and Accounting departments to resolve any payroll-related issues
- Prepare payroll reports for management as needed
- Stay up-to-date on changes in payroll regulations and best practices
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Payroll Manager or similar role
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes and regulations
- Proficient in data entry and payroll software (e.g., QuickBooks, Workday, PeopleSoft)
- Familiarity with HRIS systems is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
