Job Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will perform skilled manual work involving the repair and installation of refrigeration, air conditioning, and heating equipment, including:
* Overhauling and servicing refrigeration, air conditioning, and heating units
* Inspecting equipment and performing routine maintenance
* Testing units for leaks and adding gas
* Monitoring and adjusting valves and gauges
* Changing and cleaning filters
* Operating chillers
* Assisting in installing units and training staff
* Cleans work areas and performs other related duties
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements: Technical/vocational degree and 2 years HVAC experience, or high school diploma/GED with 4 years HVAC experience, or equivalent combination.
Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of HVAC procedures and tools, good communication skills, ability to work in confined spaces and at heights, operate HVAC tools, interpret blueprints, and lift approximately 50 pounds.
