You will be responsible for independently preparing and cooking meals for 19 residents, ensuring high-quality, nutritious food is delivered every day. Key Information Salary: £14.00 per hour Hours: 32 hours per week Working Days: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday Shift Times: 8:00am - 4:00pm Location: Central New Milton Environment: Cooking alone in a friendly care home kitchen Role Responsibilities Prepare, cook, and present meals to an agreed standard for 19 residents Plan and manage daily meal production independently Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen environment Ensure dietary requirements and preferences are followed Manage stock rotation and basic ordering as required Required Skills & Experience Previous experience working as a Cook or Chef, ideally in a care home or similar environment Ability to work independently and manage a small kitchen Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and allergens Good knowledge of ingredients and basic cooking methods Positive, dependable, and approachable manner What We're Looking For Someone confident cooking alone High standards of cleanliness and organisation A friendly cook who enjoys preparing homely, nutritious meals Reliability and a genuine passion for caring through food Blue Arrow is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and is committed to helping find great work opportunities for great people.
