Design Team Leader (Manufacturing / Construction)
Location: Canterbury
Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 per annum + bonus, progression, 33 days holiday
Join a rapidly growing company with over 40 years of industry experience, delivering bespoke equipment for the building services sector. As Design Team Leader, you will oversee a close‑knit CAD team, managing workloads and coordinating bespoke fabrication projects from concept through to completion. Your role includes reviewing and approving technical drawings, maintaining the drawing register, contributing to R&D initiatives and developing new product designs while providing ongoing technical guidance to the wider team.
Responsibilities
* Lead and support a small CAD team in successfully delivering bespoke manufacturing projects
* Review, check and approve technical drawings and designs
* Contribute to research and development projects, including the creation of new designs
* Work closely with production teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
* Work schedule: Monday–Thursday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm and Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm (39 hours per week)
Qualifications
* Experience in a Design Team Leader position or similar
* Proficient in AutoCAD
* Background within a manufacturing or construction environment
