Job Description
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Reviewing Officer to provide quality assurance and review services across varying levels of need, driving strengths-based practice and culture. The service will provide independent, professional support, challenge, and be accountable for service improvement, ensuring quality assurance of practice across the entire service. The service will champion a child’s right to family life.\n\nResponsibility\n\nQuality Assurance Reviewing Officers (QARO’s) ensure that statutory and regulatory safeguarding requirements are met for independent reviewing for children in care, child protection and fostering reviewing functions and go beyond that to focus on the delivery and improvement of services for children, young people and their families through the provision of high-quality independent oversight of practice, and effective partnership working with all those involved with the child.\n\nQualification – Essential \n\nGCSE Grade (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics.\n\t\nA Professional Social Work Qualification\n\t\nAdvanced – Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), social media and CRM.\n\nQualifications, Knowledge, and Experience Requirements - Criteria to be Evaluated at the Shortlisting Stage.\n\nSuccessful candidates will have:\n\nDemonstrate experience in undertaking quality assurance activities, including auditing, file review, and performance data analysis.\n\t\nDemonstrate understanding of organisational procedures, practice model (connections count), operational service delivery areas, and related processes.\n\t\nDemonstrate experience in delivering performance reporting, utilising professional curiosity within Children's Social Care.\n\t\nDemonstrate experience of successfully managing numerous stakeholders and of building effective relationships across multiple disciplines.\n\t\nAble to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.\n\t\nAble to deliver presentations/ complex reports to a wide range of audiences, both internal and external.\n\t\nDemonstrate skills in advising, influencing, persuading and negotiating across a wide range of disciplines.\n\t\nAble to speak an appropriate standard of spoken English - Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016.\n\t\nDemonstrate ability to manage time effectively, navigate competing demands, and work collaboratively to manage expectations and deadlines.\n\t\nAble to maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing demands of the job.\n\t\nDemonstrate significant knowledge and understanding of the relevant legislative, regulatory framework, and Government initiatives relating to children’s services.\n\t\nMust have a clear understanding and commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion matters and to promote anti-discriminatory practices and behaviours.)\n\nEssential Compliance Requirements\n\n5 Years References/Work History\n\t\nEnhanced DBS\n\t\nA pre-engagement screening is mandatory for this role.
