The post holder will be the key contact point for a wide range of customers wishing to access City of York Council’s Environmental Services. You will meet the needs of customers by providing excellent customer service standards with the aim of resolving queries at first point of contact. This will include dealing with complaints and requests for service, arranging bin deliveries, dealing with missed collections, explaining policy and procedures and signposting to other services. The postholder will be involved in supporting all areas of Environmental Services and play a key role in supporting the delivery of vital frontline services. Experience of working with data and systems and in a fast paced environment would be advantageous.
This role is suitable as a job sharing position.
Hybrid working arrangements are available for this role. Each role at CYC is different and your working arrangements will be determined based on the requirements of the role and in collaboration with you and your needs as part of the recruitment process. Your contractual location will be the designated council office for your team.
