What you will do:
* Receive, screen and assess referrals relating to children and families.
* Undertake initial safeguarding assessments to determine appropriate action.
* Identify and analyse risk to ensure timely protective interventions.
* Liaise with partner agencies including police, health, education and early help services.
* Make informed decisions regarding thresholds for statutory intervention.
Person specification:
Qualifications:
* Degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work.
Registration & Compliance:
* Registered with Social Work England.
* Enhanced DBS.
* Right to Work in the UK.
Key Skills:
* Strong safeguarding and risk assessment skills.
* Good understanding of children’s social care thresholds and referral pathways.
* Excellent analytical, communication and decision-making skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced front-door environment.
* Strong organisational and case management skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively with multi-agency partners.
Experience:
* Post-qualification experience in Children’s Social Care.
* Experience within MASH, Integrated Front Door or Duty/Assessment teams.
* Experience managing safeguarding referrals and risk assessments.
* Experience of multi-agency partnership working.
