Job Title : Assistant Site Manager

£45,000 to £48,000 per annum plus package and additional benefits
The Client
Fawkes and Reece Midlands are representing a leading national housebuilder, in order to secure them a dynamic Assistant Site Manager. You will be working on a flagship residential scheme which will include 3000 mixed tenures of housing within West Midlands not only offering a long term role but also offering key career progression.
The Role
As the Assistant Site Manager, you will report to the number 1 Site Manager and support them in effectively motivating, supporting and managing the site-based team. This will ensure that the required health, safety and environmental performance standards are achieved. You will be working towards company guidelines and goals as well as contributing to the efficient health and safety procedures of the building site.
You will be responsible for:
-Coordinating the workforce, including sub-contractors and to meet milestones
-Ensuring that material supplies are available and in stock
-Ensuring that quality standards and construction programmes are met
-Managing and maintaining strong relationships with the subcontractor network on site
-Monitoring Health and Safety on site
-Development -Including: Site inductions, Quality control check list, incident reports.
-Mentoring and developing any apprentices or trainees on site
-Plan and manage site order to ensure site waste is reduced
-Ensure that the site is secure at the end of each day & complete forklift checklist weekly
Skills & Experience
-Must have previous experience working for a residential house builder at Assistant Site Manager level
-Must have up-to-date knowledge of health and safety obligations and building legislation
-Ability to manage change and use their own initiative
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to handle complex situations and motivate others.
-Appropriate CSCS card, valid SSSTS, First Aid certificate
-NVQ Level 4 Construction Site Supervisor desirable (Training will be provided)
-UK Driving Licence.
