The Role
The Transport Planner is responsible for ensuring the day‑to‑day planning of a dedicated portion of the IT fleet. This includes maintaining agreed service levels, maximising vehicle utilisation, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Main Responsibilities
* Efficient planning and routing of the fleet of vehicles to ensure maximum profitability
* Communicating with drivers, customers, and sub-contractors
* Accurately processing jobs using transport management software
* Providing quotations for customers
* Assisting drivers with job information and troubleshooting issues
* Ensuring driver compliance with working time and hours regulations
* Ensuring all vehicles comply with relevant legislation
* Rotating vehicles to optimise productivity and efficiency
* Planning vehicles for inspections, servicing, and repairs as required
* Maintaining agreed service levels, vehicle utilisation, and customer satisfaction
Qualifications / Skills
* Previous experience in routing and planning a fleet of vehicles
