Job Title: Registered Veterinary Nurse Location: Boundary Vets Job Type : Full time, permanent Hours: 40 hours per week, including 1 in 5 Saturdays 9.30am-1.30pm. Salary: Starting from £28,000/annum, depending on experience Boundary Vets are seeking an RVN to join our friendly, close knit and well-established practice in Abingdon, Oxfordshire. About the Role This is a permanent, full-time position. The working hours are: • Monday to Thursday: 8 hour shifts between 8am and 7pm • Friday: 7 hour shifs between 8am and 6:30 pm • 1:5 Saturdays 9.30am-1.30pm There is no requirement for out-of-hours cover and limited reception duties – allowing our nurses to focus on what they do best. About You We are looking for someone who is: • An RVN (preferably with at least 1 years post qualification experience) • Team spirited and passionate about quality care • Interested in nurse consults and dentistry • Wanting to do Schedule 3 procedures • Interested in supporting with SVN training and ideally open to becoming a Clinical Coach in the future (if not already one). You’ll be working alongside a wonderful team including a very supportive PCA team, and you’ll be fully supported by the whole nursing team. Day-to-Day Duties The role encompasses all nursing skills including: • Monitoring anaesthesia and theatre duties • Ward and inpatient nursing • Running nurse consults one day/week (e.g. weight clinics, admits, discharges, geriatric etc) • Working collaboratively with the vet, nurse, PCA and CCA teams.
