As we continue to grow, we’re seeking an experienced Electrical Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) to ensure the highest quality in our delivery of electrical qualifications.
The Role
In this role, you will be the driving force behind maintaining and enhancing the quality, consistency, and compliance of our assessment processes across electrical qualifications. Working closely with our assessors, you’ll review portfolios, provide professional guidance, and ensure that all awarding body requirements are fully met.
Key Responsibilities
1. Carry out quality assurance activities for electrical qualifications (NVQs, apprenticeships, etc.)
2. Sample and verify learner portfolios and assessment decisions against regulatory and organisational standards
3. Coach and support assessors, offering constructive feedback and promoting continuous improvement
4. Ensure compliance with awarding organisation requirements and maintain accurate IQA records
5. Lead standardisation meetings, share best practice, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
6. Prepare for and support external quality assurance visits/audits
7. Work collaboratively with delivery teams, managers, and external stakeholders
About You
Essential:
8. Recognised IQA qualification (TAQA, V1, D34, or equivalent)
9. Relevant electrical qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent)
10. Up-to-date industry knowledge and CPD in electrical installation
11. Experience in quality assuring vocational electrical qualifications within training or education
12. Strong knowledge of current legislation, Health & Safety, and best practice in the electrical sector
13. Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Desirable:
14. Assessor qualification (TAQA, A1, D32/33, or equivalent)
15. Familiarity with apprenticeship standards and End-Point Assessment
16. Previous teaching, tutoring, or training experience
