About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Financial Controller to join a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation based in Romsey. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in driving financial excellence, improving reporting processes, and supporting strategic decision-making.
You will be responsible for overseeing core finance operations while contributing to process improvements and ensuring robust financial control across the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage day-to-day accounting operations (AR, AP, GL, inventory, fixed assets)
* Prepare and deliver monthly and annual financial statements
* Drive improvements in financial reporting processes and controls
* Oversee treasury and cash management activities
* Coordinate budgeting and forecasting cycles
* Manage internal and external audits, ensuring compliance
* Oversee tax matters, including VAT
* Lead and develop the financial reporting team
* Partner with stakeholders and support the Finance Director
* Analyse financial data, challenge assumptions, and provide actionable insights
Key Requirements
* Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
* Proven experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance role
* Strong background in group reporting and financial statements
* Experience managing end-to-end finance operations
* Solid understanding of accounting standards (IFRS/UK GAAP)
* Experience with ERP systems (IFS desirable)
* Advanced Excel skills
* Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and challenge xsngvjr stakeholders
