Support Worker – Day Services
Location: Washington Community Resource Centre and Fulwell Community Resource Centre
Initial 6-month contract with the possibility of extension

About the Service
The organisation operates two Community Resource Centres in Washington and Fulwell, offering day opportunities for adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and complex health conditions. These services support individuals living with carers, families, or independently in their own homes.
As a Support Worker, you will:
Provide sensitive and respectful personal care
Support individuals with eating, mobility, and communication
Promote independence and enable choice and control
Work in a person-centred way to meet individual care needs
Contribute to and maintain accurate care plans
Build meaningful relationships with individuals and their familiesYou’ll work as part of a friendly and professional team committed to delivering high standards of care in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
What We’re Looking For
Experience is welcome but not essential—your values, attitude, and commitment to providing excellent care are what matter most.
Ideal candidates will:
Demonstrate empathy, respect, and compassion in all interactions
Communicate clearly and effectively with individuals and team members
Be flexible and adaptable to rota-based work (Monday–Friday, between 7:30 am and 5:00 pm)
Be willing to contribute positively to the team environmentDesirable (but not essential) qualifications include:
Training in areas such as Moving & Assisting, Safe Handling of Medication, or First AidContract Duration
This role is offered for an initial period of 6 months, with the possibility of extension depending on service needs and performance.
