Trailer Technician Days – Redditch
We currently have a full-time vacancy for a HGV Trailer Technician, based in our busy Redditch Depot. Are you passionate about trucks, trailers, and the vibrant world of live music? We’re looking for a skilled HGV Trailer Technician to keep our fleet of music tour trucks on the road and performing at their best!
Pay Rates
* £17.30 per hour Monday to Friday (£18 per hour if you have a C+E licence).
* £25.95 per hour after 40 hours per week.
* Bank holidays paid at 2.5 x hourly rate.
Shift Patterns
* 06:00 – 15:00 week 1
* 11:00 – 20:00 week 2
* Shift rotation
Key Responsibilities
* Inspect and maintain trailers to roadworthy conditions to comply with Legal & Company standards.
* Support the business with various projects.
* Responsible for the training and development of Apprentices.
* Diagnose and rectify all types of faults.
* Ensure Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices are adhered to.
* Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness.
* Maintain a thorough and current product knowledge and attend training courses.
* Provide support to both parts & administration teams when required.
* Prepare trailers for MOT Testing.
* Record trailer defects and keep accurate records of work carried out on each trailer.
* Repair Minor Accident Damage.
* Carry out fault diagnosis.
* Working with the following equipment (vehicles, trailers, and ancillary equipment).

* Capability to work within guidelines given and to strict deadlines.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Actively seek solutions to problems.
* Ability to work as part of a team.
* Good verbal communication skills.
* Flexibility to undertake a wide range of tasks.
Experience / Qualifications (ideal)
* Technical qualification (City & Guilds or NVQ qualified technician) or proven experience repairing & maintaining vehicles.
* LGV/HGV licence ideal, however not essential.
* Trailer running gear experience.
* SAF/BPW experience.
