Job summary
There is an exciting Band 6-7 Development Post opportunity within Queen's Hospital Hyper-Acute Stroke unit and our Regional Neurosciences Centre. This opportunity allows development of clinical and non-clinical skills to Band 7 level within a structured 9 months development plan. The Stroke pathway includes: Hyper-acute stroke unit (HASU), Acute Stroke unit (ASU), Rehabilitation ward (Erica), or our Early Supported Discharge (ESD) community service. If commencing within Neurosciences, you would experience a wide range of elective and acute conditions, including acquired brain injury, TBI, neuro-oncology, acute neurology, spinal trauma, and spinal cord injury.
The successful applicant will deliver clinical care, support the team, and help develop services across acute wards, critical care, elective, and community pathways across our sites. Main duties of the job
To contribute to developing, implementing, and monitoring services for clients with a diagnosis of Stroke. This post is part of a Band 7 rotation, including Hyper Acute Stroke Unit (HASU)/Acute Stroke Unit (ASU), Stroke Rehabilitation (Daisy), ESD Stroke Service, and Acute Neurosciences (including support to Neuro Outliers service).
