We are seeking an experienced Family law professional to join this well established North East law firm.
Job Description:
You will be joining a well established firm who are looking to expand their family team.
Ideally, you should hold the additional qualification to act as Supervisor of a Family Legal Aid contract. The role would involve both Public & Private matters, some funded via Legal aid.
Role responsibilities:
1. Advise and represent clients in financial remedy proceedings, including asset division, spousal maintenance, and pension sharing.
2. Draft, negotiate, and review consent orders and financial agreements.
3. Handle private law cases involving child arrangements (contact and residence).
4. Represent clients in disputes concerning parental responsibility, relocation, or specific issue orders.
5. Prepare and represent clients in applications for non-molestation and occupation orders.
6. Provide urgent support and advice in domestic abuse situations.
7. Work closely with support agencies and police where appropriate.
