Overview

You’ll be supporting people with learning disabilities, autism and mental health to lead meaningful and fulfilling lives within their community.


Responsibilities

* Encouraging – promote independence where possible & encourage service users to achieve personal goals
* Supportive – provide support to ensure the safety & wellbeing of people relying on our services
* Compassionate – communicate well with service users using their chosen methods to support individuality
* Observant – monitor & report any changes in health or circumstances of a service user to management
* Engaging – support service users to engage in the local community from going shopping to attending events

What we’re looking for

* Willingness to work towards Level 2 Diploma or above in Health & Social Care
* Good understanding of working with individuals with a learning disability and autism
* Commitment to providing quality care and support
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Patience, compassion and a motivational attitude at all times
* A responsible, dedicated and flexible approach to work
* Competent IT knowledge and computer skills
* No previous experience or qualifications are required. When you join, you’ll receive advanced training from our exclusive Training Academy where you’ll learn how to deliver high quality support.
