Location: Hockley Heath
Salary: Circa £23,000 per annum
Hours: Full time, 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday), with regular weekend event attendance
About the Role
The Vintage Sports-Car Club is seeking an organised and enthusiastic Events Co-ordinator to join our busy Competitions Team. The role supports the planning and delivery of the Club's motorsport programme and takes particular responsibility for non-speed events, including Trials, Rallies, Driving Tests and Tours.
Working closely with the Assistant Competition Secretary and Competition Secretary, you will also support the administration and delivery of Speed and Race meetings throughout the season.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys varied work, has strong administrative skills, and is confident both in the office and on event sites.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate the administration and delivery of non-speed events from planning through to results
* Support the senior team with Speed and Race events
* Prepare event documentation, including entry forms, signing-on sheets and scrutineering lists
* Process competitor and marshal entries and maintain accurate event records
* Liaise with volunteer organisers and selected suppliers
* Assist on event days, including acting as Secretary of the Meeting for selected fixtures
* Support the management of trophies, engraving and awards
* Respond to member and competitor enquiries in a friendly and professional manner
* Provide copy for newsletters and website updates when required
What We're Looking For
Essential:
* Experience in administration or event support
* Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
* Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
* Clear written and verbal communication
* Positive, adaptable approach and ability to manage competing priorities
* Willingness to work weekends as part of the events team
* Full, clean driving licence
Desirable:
* Experience in motorsport or events
* Understanding of risk assessments or event safety documentation
* Interest in vintage motoring or motorsport
