We are looking for a funding manager who will will manage a portfolio of funding applications and projects, supporting them from initial idea through to delivery and performance. You will play an important part in how investment decisions are made, helping to ensure funding is used effectively to deliver meaningful impact.
You will work closely with applicants, partners and colleagues to develop projects, assess applications and support funded organisations. This includes providing guidance to applicants, contributing to decision-making, and monitoring project progress to ensure objectives are achieved.
You will also manage funding processes, including reviewing applications, supporting payment decisions and maintaining accurate records. Alongside this, you will work with colleagues across the organisation to identify opportunities, improve processes and contribute to wider projects.
As part of the Investment Management team, your work will help ensure funding programmes are delivered effectively and that projects achieve the best possible outcomes.
About you
You will be confident working with a range of stakeholders and able to build effective working relationships, including handling challenging conversations when needed. You will be comfortable analysing information and using this to make clear, evidence-based recommendations.
You will be organised and able to manage multiple priorities, with a strong attention to detail and the ability to follow processes accurately. You will also have experience of working with data and systems, and be confident using Microsoft Office tools.
Experience of grant-making or working with funding processes will be valuable, along with an understanding of the sport or voluntary sector, or a willingness to learn.
