Job Description:
At Swindon Borough Council, we aim to make our town the best it can be. Our vision is supported by transformation programmes focused on our communities and businesses. As part of the Council, you'll support decision-making that impacts public services, processes, and quality of life.
The Highway Maintenance team handles routine maintenance of roads, footways, signs, and lines across Swindon, a task set to increase by 30% over the next five years to support growth and regeneration, providing homes, jobs, and recreation.
This role is crucial for maintaining and repairing the highway assets and assisting in larger projects. You should be prepared to work in all weather conditions and participate in emergency standby rotations, including winter services. Overtime may be available.
Fluency in English is required for customer-facing interactions, as per Part 7 of the Immigration Act.
