Location: Home based with travel to training locations as required
Salary: £20.00ph
Travel cost- 25p per mile if driving own car or public transport costs can be supported.
About the Job
We are looking for a Co‑Trainer with Autism to help us deliver the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training. This training helps health and social care staff learn how to support people with a learning disability and autistic people in the right way.
As a Co‑Trainer, you will work with a Lead Trainer. You will share your real‑life experiences, help people understand why good care matters, and help make training better for everyone.
What You Will Do:
1. Talk about your own experiences of using health or social care services
2. Help explain key messages in the Oliver McGowan Training
3. Work with a Lead Trainer as part of a team
4. Support group discussions
5. Help make people think about how they can give better care
6. Attend training and preparation sessions
7. Travel to training sessions

8. Has Autism
9. Likes talking to people
10. Feels comfortable telling their story
11. Can listen to others
12. Wants to help improve services
13. Can work with a Lead Trainer
14. Can travel to training locations or join online
