Product Safety Engineer (Glasgow/Green Park)
Join Thales UK to contribute to the ongoing development of Land, Naval and Air products and systems within the Optronics & Missile Electronics (OME) organisation.
As a Product Safety Engineer you will support the Safety and Technical authorities, the safety team and the wider organisation. You may also undertake reliability, environmental and materials analysis when required.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify safety concerns to the Safety Authority regarding product safety or the application of policies and processes.
* Generate safety artefacts such as Safety & Environmental Management Plans, Hazard Logs, and Safety & Environmental Case Reports.
* Facilitate hazard and risk identification including Functional Failure Analysis, Failure Mode & Effects Analysis, and Fault & Event Tree Analysis.
* Develop product safety requirements and assist Project Design Authorities in achieving compliance with legislation, regulations and applicable standards.
* Assist in generating reasonable bid estimates.
* Peer‑review product safety artefacts produced by team members.
* Manage multiple safety programmes, including scheduling and stakeholder interactions.
* Support the creation and delivery of Product Safety training material.

Security Clearance
