Job Description
Our client is a global leader within fragrances, flavors and ingredients and they are looking to add a Business Development Manager to their UK business. The role will focus on opening new accounts within personal care and home care customers. We are looking for someone who enjoys business development and getting new customers onboarded.
There is a clear target base of customers for this role to come into and target. We are looking for someone who can identify opportunities within these customers with the focus of long-term value and revenue generation.
The position will then handle these accounts once onboarded whilst keeping a heaving focus on new business opportunities.
The Role
* Close deals with identified target customers across the personal and home care sectors in the UK fragrance market.
* Build on this pipeline through networking, prospecting and cold outreach to get meetings booked with key stakeholders.
* Analyze market trends, identify new target areas and ensure they are aligned with our clients’ goals.
* Work in close partnership with sales, marketing and senior leadership to develop sales strategies and close key customers.
* Travel frequently across the UK with the view of meeting customers and pitching services and product offerings. Travel time will be roughly 50%.
* Represent the business at tradeshows and industry events.
* Hold accountability for customer development and new acquisition.
The Requirements
* Home based role with frequent travel above 50% in the UK.
* 5+ years of experience in sales, marketing and business development. We require someone with a hunter mentality and enjoyment of opening new accounts.
* Proven track record winning new business and growing market share.
* Experience with fragrances, cosmetics, home care, personal care products ideally within a B2B environment.
* Degree educated.
* Eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship.
* Fluent in English.
