Role: Data Manager (Full Time) Location: West Yorkshire Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 Working Patterns: Full Time (1 day on site) Our Client is looking for a Data Manager to join our Digital Policing Directorate based in West Yorkshire This is a rare opportunity to lead data governance and management activity at the centre of our data journey, ensuring police data is effectively governed, protected, and used to reduce criminality, safeguard the public, and provide best value. This police force is one of the largest of the 43 Home Office forces. We also lead the North East region in relation to Serious and Organised Crime, Counter Terrorism and Scientific Support, along with the National Police Air Service. What you'll be doing Develop and implement data management strategy, policies, and governance frameworks to maximise data value and ensure compliance. Oversee data quality, integrity, security, and life cycle management across systems. Manage and maintain the organisation's data environment, including governance within Microsoft Azure. Ensure effective data standards, metadata management, and documentation practices. Provide expert guidance on data management best practice to programmes and projects across the force. Support Business Intelligence and Analytics through robust data stewardship and oversight. What we are looking for Ability to lead and inspire a team in a busy and challenging environment. Strong knowledge of data governance, data protection, and information management principles. Experience managing large-scale relational databases and enterprise data environments. Experience implementing data quality frameworks and data standards. Understanding of data warehousing concepts to support business analytics. Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to improve organisational data maturity. You will hold a degree (or equivalent qualification) in a relevant subject, or demonstrate substantial experience within a data management or information governance environment.
