The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) is one of the world’s leading public health universities. We are seeking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced Executive Assistant to provide comprehensive executive support to our Pro-Director Research & Academic Development and University Secretary.
The Executive Office provides strategic support and executive assistance to our senior leadership at the heart of a leading global university.
You will manage their professional schedules, correspondence and international travel, as well as manage and support a range of projects. Your experience will include the ability to effectively manage complex itinerary in multiple global locations, anticipate issues and problem solve on behalf of senior leadership while managing competing priorities. You will have an interest in the Higher Education sector with a commitment to making a positive impact. You will be self-motivated, innovative, and have a strong work ethic.
You should hold undergraduate qualification at Higher Education level, or equivalent. You’ll be highly organised with the ability to plan, prioritise, multi-task and work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment. You will demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and be able to command the trust and confidence of a range of stakeholders including external and senior stakeholders. The post is full time 35 hours per week, permanent and available from 1 February 2026.
The salary will be on the LSHTM salary scale, Grade 5 in the range £39,984 - £45,728 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Wellbeing Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. The post is based in London at LSHTM.
