Overview
Job Role: Warehouse & Logistics Manager in Ballygawley. We are seeking a highly organised and experienced Warehouse and Logistics Manager to oversee the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of a wide range of goods. The role is crucial to the supply chain process and ensures that productivity targets are met and that warehouse processes are running smoothly, safely, and efficiently.
Responsibilities
* Warehouse Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storage, inventory management, and shipping.
* Implement and maintain effective warehouse layout and space optimization strategies.
* Ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO), labelling, and packaging practices.
* Manage and maintain inventory accuracy through regular stock counts and audits.
* Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Logistics and Supply Chain Management: Plan and coordinate logistics operations, including transportation, fleet management, and delivery scheduling.
* Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, and transport companies to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
* Monitor and analyse transportation costs, delivery performance, and routing optimization.
* Handle customs and import/export documentation, if applicable.
* Leadership and Team Management: Lead, train, and develop warehouse and logistics staff.
* Allocate workloads and manage shift schedules.
* Monitor staff performance and conduct performance reviews.
* Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
* Process Improvement & Reporting: Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
* Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs).
* Maintain accurate records and prepare regular reports on warehouse and logistics KPIs.
Requirements
* Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
* Proven experience (3-5+ years) in warehouse and logistics management.
* Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP software.
* Skills: Strong leadership and team management abilities.
* Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
* Good understanding of logistics, supply chain processes, and inventory control.
* Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
