About the Role
We are looking for an inspiring and passionate Art Lecturer to join our Creative and Digital Academy at the St Austell campus. In this exciting role, youll deliver engaging teaching across a variety of projects, performances, and exhibitions, collaborating with colleagues and students to bring creativity to life. Our vibrant and diverse learning spaces provide unique opportunities for students to work alongside musicians, dancers, gamers, filmmakers, and actors, all contributing to a thriving creative community and helping shape the cultural landscape of Cornwall.
As an Art & Media Lecturer, you will play a key role in guiding students through their learning journey—from induction to achievement. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, shaping engaging lessons, and managing all aspects of the student learning experience, including taking a lead in lesson planning, organisation, and related academic responsibilities.
Skills & Experience
You will hold at least a relevant undergraduate degree, and ideally a postgraduate qualification. A broad knowledge of Art & Media disciplines is essential, including: Drawing, Painting, Collage, Ceramics and Mixed Media, 3D, Textiles, Graphic Design, Photoshop editing, and Photography.
A recognised teaching qualification and teaching experience are desirable. If you do not already hold a teaching qualification, you must be willing to undertake one and engage in ongoing staff development throughout the year.
