Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in need of care. The ideal candidate will have experience in various care settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, and home care. This role is vital in ensuring the comfort, safety, and well‑being of our clients.
Responsibilities
* Deliver personal care services including bathing, grooming, and dressing to clients.
* Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, medication administration, and mobility support.
* Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to enhance their quality of life.
* Monitor and document changes in client behaviour or health status.
* Support clients with Alzheimer’s care and dementia care by employing effective behaviour management techniques.
* Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment.
* Assist with heavy lifting when necessary for client transfers or mobility.
* Ensure adherence to safety protocols, including first aid procedures when required.
* Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in caregiving, senior care, or related fields is highly desirable.
* Knowledge of assisted living practices and patient care techniques is essential.
* Familiarity with hospice care principles and nursing home environments is an advantage.
* Certification in first aid is preferred; training may be provided for the right candidate.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
* A valid driving licence is required for transporting clients.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed for client assistance.
* A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
