Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Location: Marston Green
Experience Level: Dependent
Type: Permanent, Late Shift (Mon – Fri – early finish Friday)
Our client is a world leader in Smart power, systems, and robotics. They are seeking an experienced mechanical maintenance engineer to join their expanding team at their Birmingham site. The client is recognized as a Top UK employer.
Responsibilities – Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
* Define maintenance plans for new production lines or facilities, and consult on ways to improve reliability, maintainability, and safety of equipment and/or facilities.
* Solve major technical, equipment, or facilities problems to achieve higher performance of the production lines.
* Propose improvement projects for processes and production lines to reduce maintenance and optimize operational and energy efficiency.
* Respond to emergencies, breakdowns, malfunctions, and other operating problems to minimize disruption in the production process.
Qualifications/Experience – Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
* Time served/Qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
* Knowledge of maintenance activities with CMMS systems and data analysis to improve results.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
* Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings to support manufacturing and machine improvements.
* Good communication skills at all levels within the business.
* Machining experience in a maintenance setting using tooling such as lathes, milling, grinding, drilling, welding, etc.
