Position: Grinder / Shunter Operative
Location: SARVAL Ltd, Hartshill
Reports to: Plant Operations Manager
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Shift Pattern: 12-hour Days and Nights (4 on 4 off)
About the Role
SARVAL Ltd, part of the SARIA Group, is seeking a reliable and motivated Grinder / Shunter Operative to join our operations team at our Hartshill site. This is a key role responsible for operating and maintaining the Grinding Plant, handling raw materials, and ensuring the efficient loading, transport, and dispatch of finished products.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operate and maintain the Grinding Plant and associated equipment.
2. Shunt and tip delivered raw materials from bulk trailers, skips, and collection vehicles.
3. Load and unload raw and finished products onto trailers and tankers.
4. Transport finished products to the on-site Meal Store.
5. Operate telehandlers and other plant vehicles as required.
6. Collect product samples for quality analysis.
7. Complete all required documentation accurately and on time.
8. Maintain high standards of housekeeping and comply with all Health & Safety procedures.
9. Communicate effectively with management, production teams, and drivers to ensure smooth operations.
