Specialist Worker – UASC Service, Nottingham
Manuele Praktijk Open Hart is recruiting a Specialist Young Persons Worker to coordinate the support identified on a co‑produced support plan with Unaccompanied Asylum‑Seeking Children who are looked after by Nottinghamshire Children’s Services.
Position: Permanent, 37hrs, Grade 4 AS, £28,731, FTE
Responsibilities
* Coordinate and implement a co‑produced support plan for UASC.
* Link children to relevant support services and work alongside a Nottingham Refugee Forum worker.
* Support young people with their asylum status and facilitate the development of life skills.
* Apply trauma‑informed care principles in all interactions.
* Work shift patterns including some weekends and evenings.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Experience working with young people in accommodation or youth work settings.
* Knowledge of trauma‑informed care approaches.
* Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and evenings.
* A valid driving licence and access to a car is beneficial but not essential.
