* Contract Type: Temporary (Contract End Date: 31/01/2026)
* Start Date: ASAP
We are currently seeking an Agency Lecturer in Art to join our team at the South East London Campus. This role involves teaching BTEC courses and requires a candidate who can start immediately. The position is for three days a week: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Deliver engaging and informative art lessons focused on the BTEC curriculum.
* Prepare lesson plans and instructional materials that meet educational standards and the needs of students.
* Assess student progress, provide feedback, and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
* Maintain student attendance records, grades, and other required documentation.
* Foster a creative and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and creativity.
* Stay updated with changes and developments in the field of art education, especially related to BTEC standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven experience as an art lecturer or teacher, with specific knowledge of the BTEC curriculum.
* Strong understanding of art techniques and theories applicable to secondary or further education.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging and inspiring students.
* Ability to plan, organize, and execute effective classroom lessons.
* Commitment to professional development and continuous learning in both art and educational methods.
* Relevant academic qualifications in Art or Art Education.
