We're seeking compassionate Support Workers with a caring nature who want to make a difference, in Hereford, providing support & care to young people with diverse needs including Austism, Challenging Behaviours and long-term health conditions. Full-time and part-time. Drivers license is a bonus, but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
5. Completing regular checks for health and welfare.
6. Accompanying service users on day to day activites and days out.
7. Supporting the client with their personal care needs.
8. Being flexible with approach with service users, everyday will be different, with different challenges
9. Use of moving and assisting equipment such as ceiling track hoists, electric wheelchairs, through the floor lifts, toto’s etc.
10. Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to person-cantered care
11. Encouraging independence where possible.
Requirements
12. Demonstrable experience in the industry, minimum 6 months paid UK experience required
13. Availability to attend in person 5 days of mandatory induction training in one of our offices (Cheltenham, Salisbury, or Chippenham).
14. Experience with Challenging Behaviours
15. Medication Training
16. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
17. Compassionate, empathetic, and patient nature.
18. Ability to work independently and with initiative
